Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices of thick bread (brioche or challah preferred)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk (or cream)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
  • Toppings: maple syrup, powdered sugar, berries

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, mix eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and sugar together until it is well combined.
  • Pour the mixture in a shallow dish.
  • Heat butter in a non-stick pan on medium heat.
  • Dip each bread slices into the egg mixture, coating both sides well.
  • Place the soaked bread on the skill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
  • Repeat with the remaining slices.
  • Serve hot with your favorite topping.
