- 4 slices of thick bread (brioche or challah preferred)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk (or cream)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
- Toppings: maple syrup, powdered sugar, berries
In a mixing bowl, mix eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and sugar together until it is well combined.
Pour the mixture in a shallow dish.
Heat butter in a non-stick pan on medium heat.
Dip each bread slices into the egg mixture, coating both sides well.
Place the soaked bread on the skill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
Repeat with the remaining slices.
