Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper (optional), sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz/American cheese)
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Present the steak: Freeze the ribe for 30 minutes to make the slicing easier. Thin slices across the grain.
  • Cook onion and chili: In a large pan on medium heat, add olive oil and sauce onion (and vine chili, if used) until soft and golden. Remove and set one side.
  • Cook Steak: In the same pan, add stake slices. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Alliance: Return onion/chili in a pan with steak. mix well.
  • Add cheese: Place the cheese slices on top of the meat and let it melt. Stir to include gently.
  • Assemble: Toast the roll if desired. Fill each roll with a mixture of meat and cheese.
  • Serve: Let it relax for 2 minutes. Serve hot with fries or chips.
